PRINCIPAL | LEAD DESIGNER
Henry DeFauw has been creating architectural and furniture metalwork for 21 years, and since 2003 through his firm DeFauw Design & Fabrication. He learned woodworking in his father’s woodshop in Michigan, and went on to earn a BA in commercial illustration and graphic design at Detroit’s Center for Creative Studies. Since then he has worked in commercial, medical and technical illustration and graphic design; in film and television as a prop and set designer and builder; architectural restoration; fine art restoration, handling and installation; as a sculptor and painter showing in the US and Europe; as a macrobiotic chef in the US and Europe; and in his current role as principal and lead designer at DD&F.
